Mechanical Track Jacks

Screw Jack have been manufacturing track jacks for over 70 years for track lifting, surfacing, lining and many other maintenance procedures. Track jacks are designed to operate safely with a minimum amount of handle effort. The quick “trip” mechanism allow the jacks to be instantly tripped while under load.

Warning: These jacks are intended for use only in railway track maintenance. They should never be used for general purpose lifting.

Duff-Norton
The “Duff-Norton” 117a and 117, offer the user jacks in strong light-weight aluminium or rugged cast iron.

Features  

  • Spring loaded pawls ensure teeth to rack engagement
  • The jacks come complete with round socket to accommodate light-weight wooden lever bar. (117a and 117)
  • Easy to carry “loop” handle

The A5, A8 and A17 are also manufactured of lightweight aluminium.

Features

  • Square sockets designed for use with standard railway lining bars.
  • Large 3 1 / 4 ” wide grooved toe for stable jacking
  • Rust proof tension spring which maintains full pawl engagement
