SPECIAL ELECTRIC LINEAR ACTUATORS

The EMA and Rolaram electric linear actuators have been successfully applied in many varied “special” applications, requiring for example:

• Very high linear speed (over 50 metres/minute) or acceleration (over 3 metres/sec2).
• Very slow speeds such as 30mm/min.
• Very high dynamic load (over 1000kN).
• In-line drive configuration.
• Increased accuracy units.
• Special drive e.g inverter, servo, DC, stepper.
• Temperature extremes or hazardous environment (e.g. subsea, defence).
• Built in feedback devices such as encoders, clutch monitors and load cells.

• Reduced overall size for restricted space applications.
• Very low noise (under 60dB).
• Special paint requirements e.g. high performance epoxy paint for outdoor use.
• Special materials e.g. stainless steel variants.
